Heat the milk ,sugar and cream in a sauce pan until it is quite warm and steamy but not boiling.
Once it is warm remove from heat and let it cool at room temperature.
Beat egg yolk separately. Again reheat the milk mixture and remove from heat.
Whisk in egg yolk little by little constantly whipping, making sure the eggs are not cooked. Scrape the warmed egg yolks back into sauce pan.
Stir constantly over the heat till it comes to custard consistency .This can take 10 minutes.
Add cocoa powder, instant coffee powder and vanilla essence to the mixture and mix still it's completely dissolved. Pour the mixture through the strainer and stir well. Let it cool.
Pour the mixture into the desired silicone mould or into any plastic container .Chill the mixture thoroughly in the refrigerator .Within few hours you can whisk the Gelato mixture in a electric beater (it's optional).
Freezing overnight sets perfectly .Drizzle chocolate sauce on top and Garnish with strawberries.and chocolate chips. Chocolate coffee Gelato make anyone happy and refreshing.
